He is the father of Romeo. He is the uncle of Benvolio. He is normally refered to as Lord Montague. Lord Montague is married to Lady Montague. He shows concern for Romeo on several different occasions and fears for his son.


He is the uncle of Benvolio, the husband of Lady Montague, and the father of Romeo. He is the head of the Montague household.

Interesting Facts

His friends consist of Lady Montague, Romeo, and Benvolio. He is a very rich man. His competing household is the Capulet's, where Juliet lives. In the beginning of the story his primary concern is Romeo's love intrest.
