Pop-A-Top Soda Day is Tomorrow!
Thank you so much for your donations to our Shark-a-thon this year. Our class raised $35.67 per lap ($1,248.45)! We are really excited about the new playground equipment the PTO has planned to purchase to enrich our playground area. Thank you parents!
Social Studies Quiz and a Weather Tools Project
We are currently studying concepts about weather in science. This week, students will learn about different types of climates found on Earth, and then will learn the phases of the water cycle. When we return from Thanksgiving break, students will learn about the different tools that scientists use to study the weather. As part of this unit, students will be asked to choose 1 weather tool (ex. rain gauge, wind vane, barometer, anemometer, thermometer) to research. They will create a model of their weather tool, and describe how their tool works. I will wait until after the break to send the project directions home, but I wanted to give you a heads up so that students can begin thinking about which weather tool they may want to research. If you have any questions or concerns about the project, please let me know.
