English Language Arts and Reading TEKS Resources
Side-by-side comparison documents for English language arts and reading grades 3-8 are available now on. Other resources now housed on this TEA page include vertical alignment documents that reflect the alignment of the new English and Spanish language arts and reading TEKS across grade levels, kindergarten – grade 12. Access to the TEKS is also possible via the various links on the page. Click the link above to access these resources.
New State GT Plan
The new "Standard of Service" in the Texas State Plan for GT Standard 5.1 requires the teachers of GT students to have their 30 clock hours of professional development. This includes regular classroom teachers NOT just our GT pullout teacher.
That means our teachers need to work towards having their 30 hours right NOW!
If you have your 30 hours already, then please turn in your certificates along with any 6 hour yearly updates on file!
If you don't have your 30 hours, check out the link above!
We are part of the cohort so most sessions are free or offered at a lower cost if taken online.
Our district is working on a plan to provide GT Day 4 and 5 Foundational Trainings within district! We just need teachers to work on getting Days 1, 2 and 3!
Please speak to Mrs. Marshall or Mrs. Royal with any questions you might have and turn in certificates to Erin Juarez!
Student Led Conferences
Please make sure to schedule your grade level Student Led Conferences for the Spring with Mrs. Pelech.
Remember, holding Student Led Conferences supports our Campus Improvement Plan Goal 4, Objective 1.
Access Resources and Add Things to Share/Use to the Student Led Conference TEAM DRIVE
Parent Involvement POs
Please submit POs for any materials you need for upcoming Parental Involvement Activities or for the Student Led Conferences as soon as possible.
Deadlines for processing POs will be here before we know it!
