Shahada
Shahada is faith. If you want to become a Muslim you have to publicly speak and say the following words "There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the messenger of God." Once you have done that, you're accepted into the Islam religion.
Salat
Salat is prayer in Islam religion. As a Muslim you show devotion and sacrifice by praying five times a day. When you pray you always face Mecca, the holiest site in Islam religion. When a Muslim prays they always do it in a clean space and they usually always recite from the Qur'an.

This is an example of something the Muslims would recite during prayer.
Sawm
Sawm means fasting. In Islam religion the Muslims have to fast during day light hours for 30 days, this is called Ramadan. By doing this, they are showing devotion to their god. At the end of Ramadan they celebrate with what's called 'Id al Fitr, this includes festivals and parties. They do this during the holy month.
Zakāt
Zakāt means charity. If you're a muslim you are expected to give 1/40 of your wealth to help the poor. This money was usually giving during 'Id al Fitr, which was the celebration done at the end of Ramadan.
Haji
Haji means pilgrimage. Every Muslim should go at least once to Mecca, the holiest sight in Islam religion. Some Muslims may save up their whole lives just to get a plane ticket to go to Mecca.
