One Full Week Down!
Wow...these last 5 days have been amazing! It has been so nice to be able to reconnect with all of our students. During the first week, we have focused on team building, relationships, and our social-emotional learning. As we go into next week, your child will continue working on these important skills, but will introduce more and more academics. Please know that we are here to help if you need something when your child is at home or in school. Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you next week!

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
A few items to remember:
- Our doors open at 8:00am. Children should stay in their car until 8:00 when we open the doors and not congregate outside. We do not have supervision available until 8:00.
- We ask that parents begin to allow their children to walk to class on their own at this time. We have staff available to help with this as the children become more comfortable. Please just ask a staff member that is outside and we will be happy to assist.
- At arrival and dismissal, please pull up to the first cone and please don't block the crosswalk.
- All walkers exit the back on the building onto the playground. If you have a middle school or high school sibling picking up at dismissal, please remind them that the play area is for elementary students until dismissal. We have recesses going up to 3:30.
- If you are picking up in a car, we ask that you join the car line. Please do not park on the street near the cross walk as this hinders the crosswalk attendant's view when helping students.
Most importantly: Thank you for all you do!!
PC Car Tags
Every car that comes and picks up children should have a Prairie Center car tag. Please let the office know if you never received one or have lost it. If someone else on your pickup list is coming to pick up your children, please provide them with the car tag number. The car tag stays with your family throughout the time that they are at PC.
Thanks!

Fall Picture Day
Visitors/Parents/Volunteers at Prairie Center (Reminder)
Visiting/Volunteering at School
Our families, visitors, and volunteers are vitally important to us and the educational process. We know parents often want to volunteer and support their children and our staff during the day. We are excited to welcome parents back into the building this year! Teachers will work directly with parents as to what needs they have and what opportunities there are to help.
Lunch
At this time, we are not going to be able to have parents come and eat with their child in our lunch room. Parents are welcome to bring something for their child to eat and/or sit with their child during the lunch period, but all visitors should remain masked during this time. We will re-evaluate this at a later date. An option if you are wanting to eat with your child is to check them out at the office during the lunch period, go out to eat, and come back and check them back in. Thank you for your understanding.
Child Pick Up:
If you come to pick your child up during the day outside of dismissal time, please call the school (780-7610) to let us know. Come to the front of the building, ring the doorbell, and we do our best to have them ready for you.
Child Drop Off:
If you are dropping your child off during a time that is not arrival time, please walk your child to the front doors and ring the doorbell. We will have you bring them into the office and have you sign them in.
Student Items Forgotten:
If the student must have the item, like a lunch, please come to the building and ring the bell. Let the office know you have an item to drop off. There is a table just inside the lobby that you will place the items. Please make sure that it is labeled. We will make sure that your child receives it when the teacher has an opportunity for your child to come up to the office to pick it up.
