Spotlight on Kate

Hi! My name is Kate. Some things I enjoy doing are gymnastics, volleyball, horseback riding, baking, and snapping pictures with friends. I am from Atlanta, Georgia, and have four siblings. In my spare time I like to clean and organize. If I could recommend a school, I would recommend Arborbrook Christian Academy because I have never more enjoyed learning.

What We've Learned this Week:

Math: fractions; polygons; rounding numbers; estimation

Grammar: infinitives and imperative sentences

Writing: completed a story about life in Rome

Literature: made a book jacket for Bronze Bow; began Number the Stars

Read Aloud: The Penderwicks

Science: learned about skunks and raccoons; completed an experiment on predators/ prey

Nature Study: we had a bok choy salad!

Geography: map test on countries of Southern Europe; labeled countries of Eastern Europe

Bible themes: forgiveness (in Assembly) and what God is like (in class)

A Note from Mrs. Rhoades

Students wrote a narration about Julius Caesar and practiced for their upcoming skit about Caesar's life.

Friday assignments and Future Tests

Literature: Read Number the Stars, chapters 2-4 for Monday

Math: lesson 33

Dictation: test next Wed.

History: a written draft of your oral presentation for the History Fair is due next Wed.
