Commitment
We are on the last lap of the year for 5th Grade, and approaching the last lap for 3rd and 4th. Kinder through 2nd are continuing to make gains to have their students prepared for the next grade.
This is when 'times are tough'. There will be situations where kids will test your commitment, your patience will be pressured, and some will be tempted to give-up during these scenarios. Do not let that happen. Prepare for these situations, stay committed to our plan, and Chavez Staff will be successful.
The proof is in the data. Our students have made huge gains in the areas we have focused upon and made changes with integrity. We have identified the one or two areas left that need additional tweaking, and those adjustments have been made.
Stay strong, stay true to the path, and we will prevail.
Onward!
26th Week in Review
Chavez SBDM met and discussed the upcoming assessments and plans for Fantastic Fridays.
5th Grade Math and Reading, and 4th Grade Writing took a final extended TEKS Screening to analyze growth and to keep students in mind while preparing for STAAR.
Teacher Shout Outs!!
Thank you Kinder for our PTA Showing & Performance!!
Thank you Alarcon for preparing our Kinder PTA Performance and recruiting parents to assist on stage. It was the most represented PTA Performance of the year!
A HUGE Shout Out to Aiken!! After reviewing the most recent TEKS Screening, 5th Grade Reading has earned above a 50% Average of 3 on Domain 1!! This is huge.
For a better understanding of how hard it is for an Average of 3 to be above a 36 percent, please see here: Page 13 - Above 90 on Econ Disadv.
