Students will not have Chromebook internet permissions until the parent has accepted and signed the RUP form.
The district is offering an insurance program for your child’s Access Initiative device (Chromebook). The cost to participate in this program is $20 annually. Chromebook insurance can be purchased online this year. Please follow this link: https://wsdr4.revtrak.net/high-schools/
Participation is optional. Coverage takes effect once payment is received, and the Access Initiative device is issued to your child. It is not retroactive. Buying into the program provides coverage only during the current school year, so from the time payment is received through the end of the school year which is June 30. The program fee is non-refundable and does not transfer to the next school year if the insurance is not used.

Student Schedules
Student schedules will be made available on the Parent Portal beginning August 4th at 4 pm. Please take time to review your schedule and check for accuracy. We recommend either printing your schedule at home or taking a picture with your phone (make sure you get your classroom numbers).
We will have counselors available on August 8th to review necessary schedule changes (ex. placed in the wrong class, missing a class, etc). Please do not wait to take care of this on the first day of school. We want your first day to be as smooth as possible.
Optional 9th Grade Orientation Day
The transition from middle school to high school is a big one, and it comes along with many challenges. To help ease apprehensions and set freshmen up for success, Liberty High School's Link Crew will be hosting a voluntary freshman orientation on Friday, August 18 at 9 a.m. in our main gymnasium. Link Crew's junior and senior members were chosen to represent the many academic and social groups present at Liberty, and all have joined to assist freshmen in their time at and beyond orientation. Following a fun kickoff in the gym, students have an opportunity to meet Link Crew students and ask questions they may have about classes and school life. The event will conclude around 11:00 a.m. Please plan to pick up/drop off your students at the main entrance of the school, as buses will not be running.
We are aware that some freshmen will be unable to attend. Those students will be contacted by our Link Crew students following orientation, and they can look for any Link Crew student in a Link Crew t-shirt on the first day of school to ask for help.
For any questions or concerns, please contact Matthew Eversole at mattheweversole@wsdr4.org.
We hope to see you there!
High School Bell Schedule Clarification
SOAR Time (named Power Time on student schedule) is a one-hour break in the middle of the day for student choice. During this time, students eat lunch, practice time management and self-care as well as meet with teachers, make up tests, participate in clubs/activities, study, complete homework, and take care of their individual needs.
CLARIFICATION:
- Students may NOT leave during SOAR time. The WSD has a no-open campus policy at this point, meaning students are not allowed to go get lunch and come back during this time.
- Students may not order GrubHub, DoorDash, etc, during the school day. For more information click the link below.
- Students caught leaving campus and/or propping a door open will receive consequences.
NEST Time (named Student Success Time on student schedule) is focused academic time on Thursdays only. During this time, students are able to visit other teachers for academic purposes, complete homework, check grades, take tests/quizzes, and participate in some career exploration. Students who are in need of additional support to meet their academic goals will receive tiered intervention.
Parent, Bus, & Student Driver Information
10th, 11th, & 12th Grade Students:
You may pick up your Parking Permit on Summer Welcome Back Day August 8th.
We are doing parking a bit differently than in previous years. Each grade level will have an assigned lot but not an assigned specific parking spot.
Seniors - Front Lot
AM Special Programs, and AM Dual Enrollment - Front Lot
Juniors - Back Lot
Sophomores - Football Field Lot
**If you have not signed up for a parking permit yet, you may do this on Summer Welcome Day. You will need to have the Parking application, current vehicle insurance card, $30. **
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We ask that you arrive early the first week of school. Doors will open at 6:45am. Please drive cautiously in our lot and be patient with our staff as we work through issues that may arise due to new student drivers and drop-off traffic this year. The recommended entrance for parents and students is Sommers Rd (north entrance) due to ability to avoid bus traffic. Please only exit via the south or stadium entrance. This is for the safety of all. Please refer to the map below.
Bus information will be emailed out from the Transportation Department in the coming weeks.
Arrival & Dismissal
Buses Arrival and Dismissal take place on our back lot near the auditorium. Teachers will review bus lineups with students on the first day of school.
Student Drivers - Student Drivers are only permitted to park in the Parking Lot with a Parking Permit.
Parent Pick Up/Dismissal - Students must be in their classrooms by 7:15 am in order not to be counted as tardy. We recognize that our lot/Sommers Rd. becomes very busy between 7:05 - 7:15 am. We HIGHLY recommend all car riders arrive by 7 am or earlier in order to be on time for class. Below is a photo depiction of how parent drop-off and pick-up will work for the 23/24 school year.

A Message from your Booster Club...
Happy summer everyone!
We wanted to send out a quick message to introduce ourselves. There have been a few changes within the Booster Club Board. President, Matt Foeller and his wife, Renee, Director of Concessions, have passed the baton. The new board will transition over the summer. They have done a fantastic job of leadership, dedication and commitment to Liberty High School and the students they’ve helped in the past few years.
We will continue to review requests the same way and strive to approve as many as we can. One major focus of the new board will be on volunteers. Our Mission Statement in part, says, the Liberty Booster Club is 100% funded through its independent fundraising efforts and is in no way funded through Liberty High School or the Wentzville School District.
This can only be accomplished by volunteers. The more we involve our parents with their students, cover as many events as possible, the more money will be brought in and in turn the more we can approve. One important point to make about volunteering, Sign Up Genius is not approved for students to sign in and use their WSDR email address. They must use an outside email address and phone number. We must be able to reach people in the event of a cancellation. This is a constant discussion on ways to improve this method.
Things with the Booster Club will continue to run in a similar manner, just with different people doing it and we are looking to add a few new committees, new fundraisers, student photographers, monthly newsletters with updates and an active presence at as many events as we can get to. I will be introducing myself to as many coaches, assistant coaches, faculty and staff as possible. We are here to work together to make next year, year eleven, just as great as the first ten and help as many student programs as possible. All student clubs, programs, and athletic teams are eligible to benefit from Booster Club dollars.
Here’s a list of our new board members, their positions, and some helpful website, contact, and social media information for you.

WSD Back to School Fair
The WSD will host the 13th Annual Back to School Fair for District families on Saturday, August 13, from 8-11am at Liberty High School. The event is intended to get school supplies in the hands of students who need them the most.
The event is free for District families and will feature dozens of vendors, free school supplies, games and fun activities for children. At last year's event, we distributed over $10,000 worth of school supplies to WSD students. In addition, MoCHIP will be on hand to provide free child identification kits.
While the event is free, families are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Operation Food Search, which serves local families in need. For more information about the Fair, visit the WSD website.
