1st Quarter Report Cards

Fall is happening all around us! 🎃 🍁 🎃 🍁.

Pumpkins, colorful leaves, cooler weather, and REPORT CARDS!

The 9 weeks will be ending Oct 14th and report cards will be distributed Oct. 26th.

Make-up Pictures!

Underclassman make-up pictures will be Wednesday, November 2nd in the gym. These will be pay-at-the-camera only or if you were absent last week. Picture packet sheets are outside Mrs. Beam's room if you are interested.

BHS Fair Booth Wins Award!

The Bulldog fair booth won FIRST PLACE this year!! Many thanks to DECA and Art Clubs for working on the booth and sharing their creativity!



College Application week is October 17-21st! The below colleges are FREE TO APPLY through Contact Mrs. Harmon in Guidance with any questions!

Yearbook information!

  • Yearbooks are still on sale through February, but the price will continue to increase each month. You can secure your price with a down payment with Mrs. Beam or at

  • Senior class picture will be in the gym on December 8 right after announcements. You will pick up your senior shirt that morning and head to the gym. Please wear jeans on this day. More info to follow. Please also make arrangements with college professors if you are at the college.

  • Seniors, we need your baby pics ASAP! There is limited space for Baby Bulldogs and this is on a first come first serve basis. Turn these into room 114 with your name on the back or in the red drop-box outside Mrs. Beam's room.

The Burns High School Marching Band is having a car show Saturday, October 22 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby in Shelby. They are looking for cars, trucks, and motorcycles for this event as well as food vendors direct sales vendors and crafters!

BHS FFA Attends Leadership Conference

Eight students with the Burns High FFA participated in the Regional Leadership Conference at Mount Pleasant Middle School. Students participate in short sessions with other students from the southwestern region learning public speaking and leadership skills. The students were: Alelah Kirkpatrick, Chyanne Sounders, Anna Goodwin, Emily Goodwin, Lance Beam, Gavin Martin, Sam Botts, and Ezekiel Hudson.

Digging for a Cure!

Last Wednesday, our BHS Volleyball teams celebrated PINK NIGHT vs Crest. The theme was “2 teams 1 Cause, Digging for a Cure”. There were a combined total of over 100 digs made by the end of the night.Congratulations to both teams!
