Be a Part of RRISD’s Spirit of Giving

On December 6, Stony Point High School will host the RRISD Spirit of Giving event for elementary students in need from our vertical learning community. Some of our classes will be hosting parties for these students and sponsoring gifts for many of them, and we are looking for assistance from community members as well.

If you are able to sponsor a child/children, please fill out this form below. This is a great way for businesses, community organizations, clubs, etc. to support children within the Stony Point community. The expected cost to sponsor a child (gifts and clothing) is approximately $100-$125.

We will contact all sponsors with more information once they have been paired with a child/children. Wrapped gifts should be delivered to Stony Point High School by Tuesday, December 3.

Please contact us if you have any additional questions.

RRISD BOARD TRUSTEE SPEAKS TO STUDENTS

Mr. Charles Chadwell visited with Mr. Selvera's Government class to discuss the role of the school board in our district and to encourage students to become civically engaged. Mr. Chadwell has served on the Board of Trustees since 2008 and has lived in the Round Rock community for more than 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Clemson University and a Master’s of Science in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Chadwell believes there must be a balance between the needs of a school district and the ability of its community to support those needs. He also states that Trustees must work to keep taxes reasonable while continually meeting new standards set for students.
