General News and Announcements
What's Happening?
Chromebook Information:
Our district uses Securly to filter students' online activity on their school-issued devices. This week families will receive a welcome email from Securly with specific login information. The emails will be sent to the guardian email addresses we have on file for each guardian in eSchool.
Parents/guardians can access information about their child's internet activity through the following ways:
Securly sends parents/guardians a weekly activity report email for their child. This email contains a direct link to the Parent Portal. Parents/guardians can choose how frequently they want to receive updates about their child's online activity.
Parents can also download the SecurlyHOME App. Open the app and click the "send me a link" button. A link will be sent to the email on file in eSchool. Once you have clicked this link, you'll be taken to the SecurlyHOME App, and your account is ready to go.
For more information on the this app click here: https://www.lmtsd.org/cms/lib/PA01000427/Centricity/Domain/45/Securly%20Parent%20Letter%20MA%202018-12-12.pdf

Choir News:
1) On Saturday, November 17, we had choir students travel to Upper Merion HS to audition for the 2019 District 11 Choir & we have FOUR students that made the ensemble! They will be participating in the festival in February of 2019. The students had to prepare high level repertoire and sing it acapella in front of four music educators as well as sight read. They competed against 10th-12th graders in Bucks and Montgomery county.
Those students are:
Maggie Bond, Jessica Malinsky, Sean Thomas and Sam Yoon
2) MAGGIE BOND has been selected to participate in the 2019 NAFME All-Eastern Honors Treble Chorus! This is our FIRST EVER choir student to make an All-Eastern Choir Ensemble! In order to make this choir, Maggie had to go through a rigorous audition process to make the 2017-18 PMEA District 11 Choir, PMEA Region 6 Choir and the PMEA All State Choir. At the All-State Choir Festival in April, Maggie was ranked 4th in the state for her voice part. In September, she applied to participate in the National Association For Music Education All-Eastern Honors Treble Chorus and was selected!! She will go to Pittsburgh (along with our Jazz Band) from April 3 – April 7. She will work with the renowned conductor Sandra Snow of Michigan State University and perform in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA, with the following schedule:
All-Eastern Treble Chorus-Sunday, April 7, 2019, 10:00 a.m.
