2018 Great Graphic Novels for Teens Committee
Albany High Librarian, Alicia Abdul, has been selected to sit with eleven other librarians from across the country through the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) chapter of the American Library Association (ALA) to select the Great Graphic Novels for Teens for 2017. Her term will begin February 1st and run through January 31, 2018 where the top ten will be revealed at the American Library Association's midwinter conference. This means a lot of reading, so if there's a great graphic novel that students are reading, share it with Mrs. Abdul in case she doesn't already know about it.
Congratulations to Book Lover's Club students!
This book festival takes place on campus at Nazareth College. This event is free and open to the public. Teen Book Fest features approximately 25 teen authors and over 2,000 students attend from all over New York State. For more information, please see any Book Lover's Club member, Mrs. Majkut, or join our meetings on Tuesdays after school from 3-4 pm in the library.
