Back to School Information

You should have received the back to school information via email earlier this month. Here is a link to all of the needed information: BACK TO SCHOOL INFO A great deal of information will be passed along to parents of new students at the 9:00am meeting on Monday. We are also hosting a Back to School information night for all parents on Wednesday, September 22. Watch for details in the next newsletter.

Bring Your Own Device Program (BYOD)

SMCHS is transitioning to a bring your own device (BYOD) program for the 2021-22 school year. The transition is as follows:

  • All other students can use previously purchased laptops from home, purchase a new device meeting the specifications in the link above, or continue to use their *SMCS issued laptop. (*Please note that all previously agreed upon payment plans will continue as usual until all payments have been made regardless of whether your student chooses to use this laptop. They will continue to receive IT support for this device.

Please note that when purchasing a new device, there is no need to purchase the Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Excel, etc.). This is provided through SMC once student log on is complete on the new device.

Traffic Pattern/Parking Changes

To better serve our students and families, we have made changes to the traffic pattern for the high school and middle school. All traffic will enter the campus using the south driveway as is currently being done. The change is that it is now a ONE WAY ROUTE ONLY for entering at ALL times, not just in the morning. As a one way in, the left lane will be used for high school traffic and the right lane will be for middle school traffic.

If you are dropping off students before school, turn into LANE ONE behind school and drop your child off at the McClone Gym entrance. Lane one will now only be used for drop off--students will no longer be allowed to park in lane one during school hours. Students should park in LANES TWO OR THREE and always park within the marked stalls.

When exiting campus, use the north traffic lane and north exit lanes onto Cold Spring Road. This is also a ONE WAY OUT as it has been in the past.

Signs and lane markings have been added so the traffic pattern is clear to drivers.

Mask Requirement on All Buses

Per CDC order, masks are required while riding buses to school or to athletic events regardless of the school's mask policy. This includes the SMCS bus and all busing from districts that provide transportation to SMCHS (Neenah, Menasha and Hortonville).

The First Friday mass and monthly adoration take place the first Friday of each month beginning on Friday, September 3 in the high school chapel. Mass begins at 7:25am. Parent are welcome to join us for both. If you would like to sign up for adoration, please contact Barb Unruh.
