WINNING WOLVES
Washington D.C. Trip
During Spring Break, students traveled from Chandler High School to our nation’s capital, Washington D.C. CHS students participated in the Close-Up program and met students from around the world and had the opportunity to debate and examine the proper size and power of our government. They spent a day on Capitol Hill where they visited the capital building and the gallery. Students also toured the Pentagon, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial and MLK Memorial. Additionally, students participated in a mock Congress workshop. Other places visited were the WWII, Iwo Jima, Vietnam, Korean and the Lincoln Memorials. To finish off the trip, they visited Arlington Cemetery. This was the trip of a lifetime and a great experience that students will never forget.
