Students should be in class by 8:50 AM.
Dismissal is at 4:05 PM.
Walkers/Car riders are dismissed first, followed by bus riders.
Buses typically depart by 4:15 PM
Car line: Students must enter/exit a vehicle at the sidewalk area. Please pull forward as far as possible to keep the car line moving. All students must be picked up by 4:20 PM.

Attendance Awareness Month
September is Attendance Awareness Month Attendance Matters – All Day, Every Day Showing up Matters for R.E.A.L
Attending school regularly provides an opportunity to:
· Build Routines
· Increase Engagement
· Provide Access to resources
· Support Learning
Routines: Daily attendance routines can reduce stress, increase your child’s self-confidence and lay a foundation for good attendance in later grades.
Engagement: Participation in school helps your child connect with other children and adults and get excited about learning.
Access to Resources: Schools can give you access to meals, physical and mental health care and other supports, and fun enrichment activities (sports, clubs, music, afterschool and summer programs, etc.).
Learning: Children learn best from hand-on activities and through meaningful interactions with their teacher and other students.

Girls’ Volleyball Team Tryouts
The Girls’ Volleyball Team tryouts will be take place over three days. We will be meeting promptly @7:20AM on Tuesday 10/4, Wednesday 10/5 & Thursday 10/6 at the front of the school. Tryouts will be conducted from 7:30-8:15AM. Athletes should come dressed for athletic activity; any athlete not wearing sneakers/volleyball shoes will not be allowed to participate in tryouts. We will be looking to fill 12 combined roster spots from 7th & 8th grades, as well as a Team Manager. Please be aware that athletes that make the team will only be permitted to participate in practices and games once a completed Athletic Packet is submitted. The packet will include a Physical Form that will need to be administered by a physician. Athletes who make the final roster cuts will be provided packets on Friday, 10/7. Practices will begin on Thursday, 10/13 @ 7:20AM.

Redistricting Process Timeline
Residents of Fulton County are assigned to a school attendance zone based on their residential address. When new schools or additional classroom capacity are added in a region, or imbalances of enrollment and capacity exist, the Board may direct staff to review attendance boundaries for modifications. This process of revising attendance boundaries is called redistricting.

- Round Two - October 3, 2022 (6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.) at Alpharetta High School
- Staff presented alternative proposals for new attendance zones.
- Community members offered comments on strengths and weaknesses of each plan in facilitated small-group discussions.
- Prior to the next community forum, staff condensed the number of attendance zone alternatives based on public input.
- Round Three - October 18, 2022 (6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.) at Alpharetta High School
- Community members reviewed and provided input on revised attendance zone draft plans in facilitated small-group discussions.
- Staff used comments to develop a recommended attendance zone recommendation for Board consideration.
- Final Recommendations

- Board Members will vote on final attendance zone changes

Reminder - Student Covid Reporting
Parents should report only positive cases to the Parent portal. Do not submit a report if you are waiting on a pending test result or for an exposure/direct contact. Fulton County Board of Health Case Investigators, FCS School Nurses and FCS Case Investigators will response to student cases. Do not return to school until you have received a follow up call and instructions.
Please be safe, and as always: Do not come to school if you are sick. If you test positive, stay home and isolate (follow the guidance provided by the Case Investigators and your provider).

Boys Rec Lacrosse Registration is Open
North Fulton United is fielding teams for 2nd - 8th grade students. Players who are in the Centennial, Alpharetta and Johns Creek High School cluster areas combine for this program. Students enrolled in private schools are welcome!
Come try lacrosse for the first time and learn from coaches who've played at the college and high school level and have deep coaching experience. This is the perfect time to work on the fundamentals and improve your game.

"Here Comes the Bus" is a free, easy-to-use website and app that enables you to see the location of your child’s school bus on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. This way, you know when the bus is near your stop, so you can send your child out at just the right time. No more worrying about whether your child has missed the bus!
How do I sign up?
- Download the Here Comes The Bus app on Google Play or the Apple App Store or visit www.herecomesthebus.com.
- Click the "Sign Up" button
- Enter school code: 87428
- Click "Next" followed by "Confirm"
- Complete the "User Profile" box
- Under "My Students," click "Add." Enter your child's last name and student ID number ("lunch number")
- Once you confirm you information, you're ready to go!
The "Here Comes the Bus" program was created by Synovia Solutions, and the company has made the website available in Spanish and French. If your computer is already set to display one of these languages, the website will automatically use the same language. Otherwise, you can change the language by clicking the current language (such as English) at the top right of the web page.
Submit your Free/Reduced Meal Applications!
It is important to note that meals will NOT be free for all students this school year.
A new application must be completed every school year. Only one application is required per family, even if your children attend different schools. If there is an interruption in benefits or the household does not reapply, the household is responsible for payment of meals until the Free and Reduced Application is approved. Free & Reduced Meal Applications are available in the cafeteria and anytime online . Visit www.fulton.schoollunchapp.com to begin the online application process.
