A compass is a device that gives out directions to show you where you need to go. It is not like a GPS at all. It also shows north,sout,east,and west.

- Hold your compass in your hand steadily in your hand at the correct level.
- Hold the compass halfway between your face and waist.
- See where the needles point on the compass.
- Turn your body steadily while the compass is in front of you.
- Keep turning until the needle points East.
- Keep the direction of travel arrow straight and the North mark facing in front of you.
- Go the direction you need to go.
- While doing this KEEP the compass away from METAL objects and anything SHARP.
