The Meadows 3/2/14
Friday was spent learning about Chinese New Year. The children learnt how to write their names in Chinese, built a dragon, wrote poetry, made spring rolls as well as learning the order of the animals associated with the story of Chinese New Year....Great fun was had by all.
The children have also been in the playground making the most of the sunny weather we have had this week!
They also managed to sneak enough time in to build a fantastic castle !!
Chris's class have been learning about time looking at both analogue and digital clocks. They will be progressing their knowledge to look at telling the time from a Roman Numeral clock face.
Great lesson and Assembly
This can even be done at home - or maybe in After School !
Assembly this week was all about friendship - Ask your child about the film that was shown??
Odds and Ends....
The allotment is still going well with year 1 and 2 visiting last Friday to finish the edging. We have now been given lots of seeds from a local company to plant when the weather is a little warmer!
