College Goal Sunday: November 3rd!
On Sunday, November 3, Hoosier students and families can get help filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on College Goal Sunday. Financial aid experts will be on-site at 37 locations across the state to help families file the FAFSA with confidence so that more students can secure money for college.
Students who attend College Goal Sunday and fill out the appropriate form when signing in will be eligible to win one of five $1,000 educational prizes administered by INvestEd. Be sure to ask about the educational prize when you arrive!
The FAFSA is required for determining state and federal aid including grants, scholarships and student loans, and many colleges require a completed FAFSA to award merit and need-based scholarships.

Community Service Day
On October 22nd, New Tech students participated in their tenth annual Community Service Day. Each Advisory served the community at many different locations including: The Rock, Goat Milk Stuff, Country Lake, Beehive Retirement Community, and the Scottsburg parks. Mayor Bill Graham invited the students to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the dog park and to eat lunch. After lunch, Mayor Graham spoke to New Tech students and thanked them for their continued service to the community.
Congratulations Abby & Olivia!
