Cause and Spread
Ebola is a virus that can cause you to bleed profusely. This bleeding will cause organ failure and could eventually cause you to die. Ebola is spread initially by human contact with an infected animal. There is a theory that that African fruit bats are a vector of Ebola. After the first person is infected, it can be spread person to person through infected body fluids or infected needles.
Symptoms usually start quickly after about 5 days of becoming infected with Ebola. Some of these symptoms might be: fever, headache, muscle aches, chills and just general weakness. After you have been sick for awhile, the other symptoms might include: vomiting, bloody diarrhea, chest pain, bleeding from eyes, ears, and internal organs.
