Fall is Here!

Today is the first day of Fall! We are excited to get the season underway! Tomorrow is Indian Springs Spirit Day! wear Indian Springs shirts or colors! Dominion's fabulous marching band will march down to ISE to perform on the front lawn tomorrow morning. It always amazes me how great they are! Then on Friday we hope your family can join ISE in being a part of the Whetstone Homecoming Parade! A flyer is coming home today with the details!

Reading News! (Ms. Pifer's group)

We started the new book club groups this week! Students are doing a great job working in their group and are diving into their book of choice! We have worked on predicting this week as we started. Some of the titles chosen for book clubs are Freak the Mighty, The One and Only Ivan, Frindle, City of Ember, and Walk Two Moons.

Next week I will be sending home an October Reading Log and activity. Please look for it!

Social Studies News!

This week we have started learning about Climate and how a place's location on Earth affects its climate. From there we will be discussing vegetation regions. Students are making a foldable to take notes in. It should be in your child's social studies folder if you'd like to check it out! :)

Entertainment Books/Orders due today!

If you have not already sent in your child's Entertainment book fundraiser order or book (if you are not selling) please do so ASAP! Thanks!
