Chromebook Information

Chromebook Rollout and Drive-Thru Open House for 6th Grade Students

Chromebook Rollout and Open House will take place at Butner-Stem Middle on Monday, August 10th from 2-6PM and Tuesday, August 11th from 9AM-1PM.


All students must 1) sign TRU Form and 2) pay $25 usage fee prior to rollout.
Online payments can be made in advance. This information is found on the BSMS 1:1 Website.
Cash/Check payments can be made at the school. Cash must be exact change. Checks made payable to Granville County Public Schools with note Technology Usage Fee and include a phone number and driver's license number.

Chromebook Handout for Newly Enrolled 7th and 8th Grade Students

Newly enrolled 7th and 8th grade students may come to BSMS for Chromebook pick-up on Thursday, August 13th from 4-6 PM and Friday, August 14th from 11AM-1PM.

Returning Students

Students returning to BSMS this year will need to pay the $25 Chromebook fee. This must be completed by September 12th. This fee may be paid online through the BSMS Website.

Logging a Ticket for Chromebook Help

If you have issues with your Chromebook or you need a replacement charger ($25 fee), go to the BSMS webpage and click on Get Chromebook Help to log a ticket (or use the link provided). Our school computer technician, Mrs. Adcock, will assist you with your needs.

Virtual Meet the Teacher/Open House Dates

Our virtual Meet the Teacher/Open House will take place on Wednesday, August 12th for all grade levels/classes at the following times:


6th Grade: 10:00AM and 6:00PM

7th Grade: 11:00AM and 5:00PM

8th Grade: 11:30AM and 5:30PM

Drive-Thru Open House for 7th and 8th Graders

Come by next Thursday, August 13th, from 4:00-6:00 PM or Friday, August 14th, 11:00-1:00 PM to pick-up your child's open house packet. The packet will include a virtual schedule, supply list, a personalized learning schedule for your child, Remind codes, student login information, and instructions on how remote learning will begin August 17th. If your child has a broken device, or needs a charger for next school year this is a great time to handle this.

Updated Contact Information for 2020-2021

If your contact information has changed and needs updating, complete the Updated Contact Information Google Form.


If your address has changed you may also bring a copy of a recent electric, gas, water bill, rental agreement, mortgage, or deed with you on the day of our drive-thru open house and we will make a copy of it so that your address is correct in our data system.
