Yearbooks are ready and will come home during end of the year pick up! If you already purchased a yearbook, it will be placed with your child's belongings for distribution at pick up. If you have not purchased a yearbook yet and would like to, we have 50 extras to sell. The yearbooks are $16. Please go to to purchase. These will be first come, first served. If your order is placed by May 13, it will be included in your child's belongings at pick up on May 21 & 22. If the order is placed too late for that, you will receive an email with pick up information.

If there is a problem with your yearbook, please contact Genevieve Boehm at ASAP. Any questions or concerns, same email.

The PTA has a few leftover spirit wear items to sell. Please check the website for items available. If purchased in time before pick up, your items will be included in pick up items. If not, you will receive an email with pick up instructions.

As communicated by Katy Bergen, student supplies and belongings will be distributed on May 21 and May 22. Please know that we are working to finalize logistics and schedule details and we are hoping for a smooth distribution process. We will communicate these plans and details with you soon! Thank you for the patience as we prepare for this end of year transition.

*Please note- If you ordered Spring Pictures and/or Yearbook, those will be placed with your child's things from the classroom. We are also working to get the photos from Father/Daughter Dance included as well.

Today, your child's teacher pushed out a link to a FlipGrid entitled, Jaguar Journal. Students and staff will be able to post a quick 30 second video to say hello to Jaguar Nation! We are asking that each student post only one video and then go on to watch all of the other posts. If this has a positive response, it could potentially recur weekly on Fridays, through the end of school. Video submissions will be monitored /approved, and commenting options will be disabled.

Hi there! As we celebrate National Library Week this week, I wish I could spend time with each of our grade levels reading aloud! But since that isn't possible, our library department has worked to be creative and to provide encouragement for our parents and families at home. I'm including these two pieces for you to use at home with your child(ren):

  • Sora Video - this short video provides a fun introduction/reminder of e-book availability and access for students.

  • Flipgrid - librarians and library clerks have recorded book talks -- there are some very entertaining options here!

Remember that you can always connect with me via email or on Schoology!

Are You Moving?

If your family has plans to move either within or out of the LSR7 school district this summer and your child(ren) will no longer be attending SVE, please contact our Attendance Secretary/Registrar, Mrs. Lydia Kirkham ( as soon as possible. Doing so will ensure that we have accurate numbers to begin our school year and ensure that we get all of the required paperwork to your child's new school. Additionally, if you have plans to home school or return to SVE from home schooling, please share this as soon as possible as well. We would like to make transitions in and out of SVE as smooth as possible for everyone.

Read Along with SVE Staff via Schoology

In addition to joining your child's teacher or grade level "group" on Schoology, please be sure to ask your child if they have joined the Read Along with SVE Staff Course on Schoology, too! This course was started at the beginning of the school year and features teachers and staff reading books aloud for our Jaguar Nation to enjoy. Many students have joined already, and we will be positing additional book readings here, so be sure to get connected! (The access code to join is shown to the left.)
