Level 3 City and Guilds Award in Education and Training
What's it about
The Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification aimed at those working in post-16 education. The course will suit you if you are already teaching but don't have a qualification. Alternatively you might be working in a support role, or as a technician or an assessor and want to develop your skills and improve your career opportunities.
What do I study?
There are 3 units:
- understanding the roles and responsibilities of a teacher
- understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches
- understanding assessment
You will learn about lesson planning, supporting and motivating learners, assessment, using resources and working with other professionals. By the end of the course, you will have developed your knowledge about learning and teaching in the post-16 sector.

Dates: 14th April - 7th July 2016
Day: Thursday
Time: 10 - 2.30 (30-minute break included)

Cost: £450 (can be paid in instalments)

What can I do next?
After the course, you can start teaching in your subject area, gain higher level subject specific qualifications or progress onto the Diploma in Education and Training if you meet the entry criteria.
