About The Swan River
The Swan River is a river in the south west of Western Australia.
The Swan River flows through the city of Perth.
When the sea level was much lower than at present, the Swan River curved around to the north of Rottnest Island.
What can you do on the river or alongside it?
You can do alsorts of things such as jet skiing, going for walks or riding a bike on the footpaths near the freeway, there's Captain Cook cruises where you go for a cruise and discover the river or you can take your on boat. You can go parasailing or even go out on the swan jets that are high-powered,loud, extreme and loads of fun for 25 minutes. There's also wind surfing or canoeing where you do it between Fremantle ports and the swan river.Theres also locations on ther river where you can fish.
Events at the Swan River
There are many events placed on the river bank such as the Australia Day fireworks. Everyone comes together to watch the fire works for this special celebration whether its on the boat or alongside the water.
Perth City at Night over The Swan River
This would have to be one of the most beautiful views of Perth by Night over the river.The river is quite at night as there's hardly any boats out there.

The river narrows between Chidley Point and Blackwall Reach, curving around Point Roe and Preston Point before narrowing into the harbour. Stirling Bridge and the Fremantle Traffic Bridge cross the river north of the rivermouth. The Swan River flows into the Indian Ocean at Fremantle Harbour.
