Lake Ripley Elementary
November
Welcome to Lake Ripley School
Thank you Litchfield Fire Department!
Principal's Message
As we enter November we have also reached the end of the first marking period. It's hard to believe we are one quarter of the way through the school year. With the marking period ending, our communication with you is vital. You will be receiving an invitation to sign up for a parent conference with your child’s teacher. We look forward to seeing you soon to discuss your child's progress.
We have had a very busy first quarter here at Lake Ripley Elementary. This has included: Fire Prevention training, learning about bus safety, a presentation to our 3rd and 4th graders from George Denehey, homecoming, Unity Day, fall parties, class field trips, a day at the Young Artists Conference, and many more. Our teachers, paraprofessionals, janitors, and kitchen staff have done an amazing job with keeping up with all the activity!
The holidays of November and December also present some opportunities for students to get some extra work in. I believe it's important for students to enjoy time with family and friends. But the days off in November and December do present opportunities to get some extra reading and math practice. Encourage your child to continue the good habits they are learning in school; at home too.
Our students and teachers are very lucky to have the team of paraprofessionals we have in the school. Without them, the opportunities for extra support and supervision would not exist. Their friendly smiles and compassion for students is an amazing thing to observe.
As fall becomes winter and the holiday season rapidly approaches, please take a moment to enjoy time with family and friends.
