We will be adjusting our lunch schedules once the outdoor space surrounding the new gym is ready for students to occupy during recess. At that time we will send out a new Sign up with the revised lunch schedule. Thank you for your patience as we implement these changes.
Collins Long Sleeve Shirt Reorder
Exciting news! We are doing a reorder of our super soft, long sleeve shirts!! They are available for $22. You can pre-order them at https://collinspto.membershiptoolkit.com/open_forms starting today through Friday January 20th.
Library Volunteers Needed!
Mrs. Boyd is our librarian at Collins, and she really needs help from wonderful volunteers like you! She would like a volunteer to help shelve books, and on days when the kids are checking in and out books, she would need help with that as well.
The time slots listed are very flexible. If you can come and stay for just an hour, that's great! Or if you can't come at the beginning of the slot, but at some point during that time, that's great too! Any amount of time is appreciated!
We hope everyone had a great Winter Break and got some great rest over the holidays. We have some big things happening in the Counseling Department over the next few months:
Guidance Lessons will take place January 17th through the 23rd. We will be talking about Kindness Week and doing a service activity through library.
Kindness Week is January 23rd through the 27th. Look forward to dress up days, special announcements, and a Kindness Bingo challenge for students to win a small prize!
Mr. Daw from Knox will be coming to Collins TBD to meet with 6th grade students during PE to discuss the transition to Knox.
February 6th-10th is National School Counseling week. We look forward to celebrating with your students!
Please see the flyer below for district offerings of community presentations.
Nurse Kendall's Updates
Parents, please remember not to send medication to school with your child, including cough drops and inhalers. All medications must be checked into the clinic by a parent/guardian and a permission form signed.
Covid update- if your child is home with Covid, please do the self report on your child’s SSO by clicking on the Covid Central icon and then “Self-Report”. This is the method our district uses to report to the MCHD. We no longer do contact tracing; however the county still wants to track how many cases are in the district. Thanks!
Your New Year goal may be to help your family manage time spent on devices. Click here for access to plans from Common Sense Media that will help you start the conversation with your family!
