Question of the week from Principal Harp
Each week, I will be sending out a question with which you will be given the opportunity to engage in a new conversation with your child. We all know how hard it is to draw out responses other than, "nothing" or "fine" when we ask "What did you do today?" or "How was school?" Be sure to use open ended follow-up questions and statements such as "Tell me more about that!" or "What did you think of that?" Please ask your student(s) the question below, share their response with us and make our day! You can submit more than one response! (No need to put names or identifying words.)
The Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports focus for this week is to respect our community by picking up garbage! We have a lot of garbage being left around campus and want to do our part to beautify Penngrove! We have assigned grades to Zones of campus so we can be more aware of specific areas:
TK/Kinder will focus on the kinder playground
1st grade will focus on the steps behind rooms 8 and 9, and the garden area
2nd grade will focus on the quad in front of rooms 12 and 13
3rd will focus on hallways in front of classrooms
4th will focus on the multi and the breezeway from the main building to the playground
5th and 6th will focus on the playground and track.
Any time you are on campus with your student, please help us keep our school clean!
Recess Volunteers Needed for Football
As of right now, we have football Mondays and Fridays only. We are looking for volunteers to come in to support our students in doing things they enjoy on their breaks from learning- we want football to be fun, but we need to ensure everyone's safety. Please click here if you are able to share some time & "ref" recess football. The link includes the schedule & expectations for students and volunteers.
Everyone is welcome to help out!
