Greetings from CMES!!!
The ending of this school year is not the way any of us were anticipating or expecting. But what I did anticipate is how well our community of students, teachers, and families reacted to this pandemic: positive, supportive, and all of us working and thinking outside the box to make this a genuine learning experience within emergency remote learning parameters. Thank you for your unwavering support.
A few things we should make you aware of as we wrap up the school year:
Thank you for your support and for continuing the learning process at home.
This is the last week of new instruction. Next week will be used to ensure all students are caught up.
Report Cards-Due to all of our different needs at home students will only be assessed and reported for the first month of the third trimester. This is when we were still in the brick and mortar setting. The remainder of the standards that were addressed during the emergency remote learning will be identified as “RL”(remote learning) on the report card.
Virtual Field Day! Check out Mr. Howard and the Specials Team Virtual Field Day. May 11-15th.
Massie Moving Up Day-Class lists are almost completed and you will be receiving an email from your child’s current homeroom teacher on May 18th.
Pick Up/Wave Good-Bye/ Wave Hello- There will be an opportunity to pick up your child’s belongings, drop off any school textbooks, wave goodbye to your child’s current teacher, wave hello to your child’s new teacher, and we have a graduation gift for our 5th-grade students. This opportunity will be on May 18-May 20 from 4-7. We will be splitting the days alphabetically by thirds. Mr. Baker will be communicating details later this week.
I will be scheduling a virtual Coffee hour on May 28th. Join us on Zoom. See invitation below:
