Jackson eNews
March 25, 2022
Around 8:15 this morning, Jackson and surrounding neighborhoods experienced a power outage for about 1 1/2 hours. If necessary, students were moved into areas with windows so there was plenty of natural light. Lunch times were a little off schedule, but our staff and students were very flexible!
This week our Jackson Jaguars have proven that they can handle the challenges of unexpected and unplanned events! In addition to the power outage, our staff and students evacuated the building on Monday due to a microwave malfunction in the staff lounge. We conduct monthly fire, weather, and safety drills at Jackson just for these situations and we are proud of our staff and students for remaining calm and following their training!
The Jackson History Fair was Thursday and the results will be announced Monday on JagTube. We can't wait!
Enjoy your weekend--it is supposed to be 90 degrees on Sunday!
Thank you,
Kamili Carthledge, Assistant Principal
