Message from Ms. Mathis
I am so proud of our students last week! It was so awesome having everyone back on campus! I look forward to another fabulous week in fourth grade!
4th Grade Updates
Here are some updates about in person A/B rotations:
- This week our rotation schedule is:
Monday- B Day
Tuesday- A Day
Wednesday- B Day
Thursday- A Day
Friday- B Day
- On your remote learning days, your student WILL still need to complete assignments. We will not have any live Zooms but assignments will still be posted through Google Classroom. I have also began sending home a few paper/pencil assignments for students to work on during their remote days. Attendance will be taken each day based on participation in these activities.
- Check green folders DAILY for remote learning work and daily notes or reminders.
Learning Goals for the Week
ELA: I can compare and contrast characters using details from the text.
Math: I can represent numerical or categorical data using a line plot, bar graph, or frequency table.
Health: I can use the Zones of Regulation to identify and regulate my emotions.
Social Studies: I can identify the regions of North Carolina.
Classroom Needs
There are a few supplies that would be very helpful as I work to sanitize and keep our classroom safe and healthy! If you are willing to donate any supplies, it would be greatly appreciated!!
-Clorox
-Paper Towels
-Hand Soap
-Hand Sanitizer
Students are also allowed to bring snack everyday for the afternoon. If you are willing to donate any snacks for our classroom, it would also be greatly appreciated! Thank you everyone in advance!! (:
Reading is Important!
Make sure to read for at least thirty minutes in the morning! It is important for you to read everyday. Use your daily reading log to tell me about what you are reading. You may choose a book from home or use our online classroom library!
