From the Principal

Good Afternoon! My name is Julie Paige. I am the new principal at Monroe Elementary. I am so excited to partner with you and your child this school year.

Just a little bit about myself, I began my teaching career at Monroe Elementary teaching first grade (the old Monroe building). I then taught sixth grade for three years before taking ten years off to stay at home raising kids. I then got hired back at Jonathan Alder and taught forth grade at Plain City Elementary for four years before moving to the District Literacy Coach position. I was the Dean of Students at Plain City Elementary for the last few years. I am beyond excited to be back at Monroe!

I have a 19 year old son, a step son, and a step daughter. My husband Grant and I have been married for 21 years.

I will be sending out a weekly newsletter to keep you up to date on everything happening at Monroe Elementary. Please follow Monroe's Facebook page and Twitter feed to see updates on what is happening at school.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me at anytime. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

Julie Paige

Jonathan Alder Masking Policy: Masks will be considered optional but strongly suggested, especially among our non-vaccinated population. Quarantine procedures will be guided by the Ohio Department of Health as outlined here.
Per federal mandate masks are to be worn on all public transportation, including school buses. This requirement is regardless of vaccination status.

Food Services

Jonathan Alder will again participate in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) waiver granted by the USDA. This program assists Jonathan Alder in providing breakfast and lunch to every student in the district free of charge. This program will remain in effect for the entire 2021-2022 school year.
