Curtis Chronicles

Principal's Corner; Ms. Sonya Pitcock

Cougar families,

We hope everyone stayed warm last week with the surprise weather and days out of school. We are happy to be back in routine here today! We have a busy month ahead of us in February with fun events like Valograms, Love Week and the Eagle Run! We encourage you to participate in each of those events to support our campus, the Childrens’ Advocacy Center and the Foundation for Allen Schools!

We also want to congratulate the CMS Full Orchestra as they travel to San Antonio this week to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association conference and are recognized for being the best middle school orchestra in the state. Congratulations to each student representing our school!

This reminder about the front parking lot at drop off and dismissal. Only buses are allowed to drop off on the front curb in the morning and pick up there in the afternoon. If you are dropping off your student in the morning after 8:15 please use the front, but pull into the parking lot area and drop off there. Our buses are getting stuck behind cars dropping off in the wrong area especially in the morning. This is also the same for bad weather days. Please help us with this so our buses can make their additional routes on time after dropping students at Curtis. We appreciate your help with this.

School supplies have dwindled and many students are in need of pencils, pens, paper and highlighters to finish this semester. We are also seeing some pretty beat up folders, so replacements of those might be needed as well. Please check with your kids and see what they need for school.

Sincerely,

Sonya Pitcock
