Thank You, Congratulations and an Introduction!
Thank you to Mrs. Patton's and Ms. Greene's second grade class for decorating our school's snowman for Christmas at Johnson Farm! The pirate themed snowman will be a hit with visitors to the Farm. A hearty AARRGG to you all!
Congratulations to Liz Barbour as she graduates from Appalchian State University on December 12! Liz graduates with a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology and has done a fabulous job with her coursework over the last two years. We are fortunate to have such someone so knowledgeable and willing to share information with us on our staff! Congratulations Liz on your achievement!
Congratulations also to Nadine Head and her husand on the birth of their son, Zachary! What an exciting event and I know we are all thrilled for their family.
I also want to welcome Rachel Graves as part of our Fletcher Family. Ms. Graves is our new intervetion specialist and has been on the job about a month now. I know some of you have met her already but for those who haven't, Ms. Graves is in Room 153 and she would love for you to stop by to say hello. She has a degree in Psychology from UNC-Asheville and also has extensive experiene with Head Start and Early Head Start in Asheville City Schools. We are delighted to have Ms. Graves as part of our team!
Do You Know What I Know?
Do you know what these lovely ladies have in common? Beautiful--true. Fabulous teachers--yes. Loved by many--again true. But if you guessed, they 're all attending the DMI class offered by HCPS then you are correct! Although each school was initially alloted two spots in the DMI class, we were fortunate that there was room for Ms. Kennedy, Mrs. Norman, Mrs. Patton, and Mrs. Stissel to attend. This is a great professional development opportunity that does require a significant time commitment outside the school day and I am proud our school is so well represented! Way to go ladies!
Now for those of you who have read the flyer, there's a game for you beneath the Fletcher Events. If you are one of the first five people to email me the names of the Christmas songs represented by the pictures below in the Christmas carol puzzle, you will receive a special prize. Have fun and don't cheat!
