Monday Matters
All FCAC mothers, fathers, teens and children, as appropriate, are asked to attend. We need everyone to turn out on Thursday night, March 24 at 7pm!
ATLANTA SCIENCE FESTIVAL -SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 2016
You are invited to join the Fayette County Area Chapter Jack & Jill in a joint activity with Grandparents and Kin Raising Children on SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 2016 between 11 am -5 pm.Participants will tour the Atlanta Science Festival which is Atlanta's biggest interactive science event and will inspire curiosity about regional STEAM research and innovation. This activity is Phase Two of the Jacqueline Robinson Grant which is promoting education, awareness and interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This activity is open to all age groups.
Community Service hours are available for teens who are willing to assist with this event.
Transportation will be provided, however, space is limited. Please include whether your family will ride the bus in your RSVP.
Please RSVP to the evite, including the number of people who will ride the bus, so we may plan accordingly.
Bus Pick-up/Drop off: Fayetteville Pavilion (in front of Kohls). Please arrive at 10:00am to allow time for loading. The bus will depart promptly at 10:30 am. We expect to return to Fayetteville at 6:00 pm.
Meeting Place at the Fair: The bus should be arriving in Atlanta between 11:15-11:30 am. At this time, we do not know where will be a conducive meeting spot and we are not sure where the bus will drop us off due to traffic considerations. So, if you will meet us at the fair, please text or call Monica or Natalie when you arrive and we will let you know where the group is. We are exploring options of using social media, such as Group Me, for location updates.
