Wakelet's New Read Mode
What does this mean for you and your students? More inclusion and accessibility features available on their website, app, and Chrome extension! These tools are fantastic and were released during #DyslexiaAwarenessMonth.
If you are new to curating content with Wakelet, check out The Educator's Guide to Wakelet and the hashtag #WakeletWave on Twitter! Ideas abound!
Kahoot: A Game-Based Platform for Student Learning!
Are you ready to engage your students and have them *begging* to review your educational content? Then you're ready to create and play a Kahoot!
Kahoot is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share, and play learning games or trivia quizzes. After a teacher creates the game at kahoot.com, students use any device to go to kahoot.it or to the Kahoot app in order to enter the Game PIN. Once entered, they type their name and are immediately joined into your game! Kahoot is enjoyed by students of all grade levels!
According to Common Sense Education's review of Kahoot, the bottom line is that Kahoot is "effortlessly fun quizzing that can lead to productive formative assessment and student reflection if implemented effectively." Check it out for yourself!
