Hello Northpoint families:
This past week we have been busy here at Northpoint. A highlight was the return of our PTO-hosted Spring Carnival. It was wonderful to see our students and their families gather on a beautiful Friday night to enjoy the carnival after a 3-year break. Thanks to all the volunteers, parents and staff, who helped make it possible for our students to enjoy this fun evening!
This past Monday evening, former students returned to gather to remember David Moren. David was a beloved teacher who passed away suddenly almost two years ago. His students, now at Westwood, came together to reminisce about the wonderful teacher they had in David, sign a bench in his honor, and plant a rose bush in his memory. It was a beautiful event, and we are so blessed David’s family could join us.
Today, we hosted (and will host) parent informational meetings regarding our transition to all multiage classrooms in grades 1-2 and 3-4. If you didn’t get to attend the meeting this morning or the one held this evening (6 p.m. at Northpoint), please refer to the overview of our plans that I shared in the May 4 newsletter or this Frequently Asked Questions: Multiage Classrooms document.
We are in the midst of one of the busiest times of year. Please continue to check in with your student and reach out to teachers or any staff as you have questions or need clarity. We’re all here to help students find success and have fun as we finish the year.
Have a wonderful week,
Judi
