Educate: GiftED Presentation: Adaptive Giftedness and the Power of the Mind

Thank you to all who came to listen to our Lisa Van Gemert! She was great!

Is your child’s magical power an atypical mind? This is great, but it comes with its own set of issues and fears. Connection with self, peers, parents, and community can create a type of giftedness called “adaptive giftedness.” Adaptive giftedness allows high cognitive ability to truly be a gift, rather than simply a challenge.

If you would like to learn more about this topic, feel free to check out her website below and click here to connect to the handout of information from her presentation.

Special Guest Speaker: Lisa Van Gemert, Mensa Youth Specialist

Celebrate Our Kiddos Gifts and Talents at our GT Expo in May!

All of the kiddos are working hard on their learning projects of the semester! They would love to share all of their hard work and gained knowledge at the end of the semester. They will continue to work on multiple projects and challenges throughout the spring semester. Each of the 3rd and 4th grade GT students will then choose the project(s) that they would like to share with the audience.

We would love to invite you to come see their projects and challenges in May! Specific details for each school are being finalized and will be shared with you as soon as possible!
