Educate: GiftED Presentation: Adaptive Giftedness and the Power of the Mind
Thank you to all who came to listen to our Lisa Van Gemert! She was great!
Is your child’s magical power an atypical mind? This is great, but it comes with its own set of issues and fears. Connection with self, peers, parents, and community can create a type of giftedness called “adaptive giftedness.” Adaptive giftedness allows high cognitive ability to truly be a gift, rather than simply a challenge.
If you would like to learn more about this topic, feel free to check out her website below and click here to connect to the handout of information from her presentation.
