TROY BAJARDI APPOINTED DAKE JR. HS PRINCIPAL

Mr. Troy Bajardi was appointed Principal of Dake Junior High School at Thursday night’s West Irondequoit CSD Board of Education meeting. He is scheduled to replace Interim Principal, Mr. Dave Dunn, on Jan. 3, 2023.
"Mr. Bajardi's experience and understanding of junior high school, along with how easily he connected with our students and staff, stood out,” said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Aaron Johnson. “His enthusiasm and commitment to connecting with all children perfectly complement our Dake Junior High School culture."
A Poughkeepsie native and Arlington HS graduate, Mr. Bajardi has been an educator for more than 18 years. He arrives in West Irondequoit after spending the past four-plus years as an Assistant Principal at Greece Olympia High School. Prior to that, he served for four years in Victor CSD as a Teacher/Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA). After moving to Rochester, Mr. Bajardi worked part-time in the Penfield CSD during the 2013-14 school year as a social studies teacher. Before that, he was Pre-K-12 Activities & Athletics Coordinator for the Cayman International School in the Cayman Islands for two years. He started his career in 2004 as a Social Studies Teacher, spending six years at Shenendehowa High School, near Albany.
A graduate of Dutchess Community College, he earned Bachelor’s (Secondary Education) and Master’s degrees (Curriculum and Instruction) at SUNY Plattsburgh. Mr. Bajardi (pronounced BUH-jar-dee) also owns a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration from SUNY Brockport (2018).
He and his wife, Kristina, reside in Penfield with their children, Elena, 7, and Vincent, 5. Mrs. Bajardi is a Lead Teacher in West Irondequoit at Listwood and Southlawn elementary schools.
