Unpacking the Common Core
In October and November we provided overviews of the latest Common Core information for principals, reading specialists, federal programs, RTII coordinators and any other specialists. Topics included: PDE Timeline; Key Advances in ELA & Math; Instructional Shifts; Rigor.
PVAAS
These September and October sessions provided participants from our local districts with a basic overview of the PVAAS reporting specific to targeted grade levels and subject areas. Participants “looked forward” with PVAAS projections (projection methodology) and “looked back” at PVAAS value-added reporting available.
eLearn 21 Launch
With the official launch, we opened with fourteen students across four districts enrolled full-time in eLearn 21. Based on the ADM, 2 out of our 5 districts immediately re-captured funds from cyber placements. Additionally, we have prepared 2013-2014 cost benefit analyses for all of our districts to help recoup lost funding to other cyber vendors.
