Daisy Troop 2209
April Update
Hi Troop 2209 Parents!
Today, we worked on a part of the Girl Scout Law: Friendly and Helpful, and our girls earned the yellow petal. Our host was Karin Hotchkiss--thank you, Karin!
Our girls
Our girls
- Received daisy coloring sheets and exchanged their papers with each other and wrote what they liked about each girl. Your daughter should have a sheet with friendly notes from each of her fellow troop members
- Listened to a story and discussed what made things friendly and unfriendly in the story
- Made helping hands coupons and discussed ways they might use them to be helpful at home and other places
Next meeting, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 (hosted by Brandy Caracciolo): Courageous & Strong (red petal).
Early Bird Registration!
We have the opportunity to register all of our girls and parents early for the upcoming 2014-2015 membership year! Please let us know if you intend to continue with our troop this Fall and we'll get you all set up! If we register by June 14th, our girls will receive this patch.
Iron on the Yellow Petal Patch: Sunny
Our girls learned about what it means to respect be friendly and helpful and they earned the yellow petal. Please iron this petal on before the next meeting.
Here is an additional story from the Daisy handbook, if you'd like to read it to your daughter:

Petals to Date
These are the petals our troop has earned to date. As we get close to filling up the daisy flower, it is a good idea to make sure the remaining petals fit. The petals can be in any order. There are four petals left to earn and then we will start a Daisy journey book in the Fall. The four petals remaining are red, hot pink, light purple and orange.
Troop Meeting Schedule
All meetings at Horizon Bay at 2:30, unless otherwise noted. Please remember to send a note with your daughter the day of the meeting so that we may pick her up and walk her to the meeting. Names in parenthesis are the hosts of the meeting, providing the activity, craft and snack. We will contact you prior to the meeting with ideas from our girls. And, of course, provide any assistance you need.

They came, they partied, they slept
We all had a great time at the mermaid/swim/pizza/movie/pillow fight/sleepover party. Thank you to everyone for helping out. We have an amazing troop of girls and parents! Click the link below to see a slideshow of the evening.

To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
