Attendance - Only 9 excused absences with parent notes are allowed for the YEAR! Absences beyond 9 require a doctor's excuse.
Excuses - Excuses MUST be received in the office within 3 days of your child's return to school. Excuses MUST include a parent signature. This can be a note sent in or a picture of a signed note emailed to the teacher and the office. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure notes are received in the office. You can do this by calling Mrs. Poarch or by checking your child's record in iNow. AN EMAIL EXCUSE WITHOUT A SIGNATURE IS NOT ACCEPTED!
Changes of Transportation - WILL NOT be accepted by email or phone for your child's safety - Any changes must be sent in writing the morning of the change. If an emergency arises, you must call and speak to an administrator for permission.
Support Our Cafeteria!
We want to continue to have delicious food, many choices, and the wonderful 5 ladies who make sure our children have a healthy breakfast and lunch each day.
You can help by coming to have breakfast or lunch with your child and purchasing your meal in our cafeteria. You can also help by encouraging your child to eat at school.
Our goal is to have an increase in the number of students participating in our meal program during the month of January.
Will you help us meet this goal?

Implementation of Erin's Law
Attention All Parents: To comply with Erin’s Law, HCS school counselors and administrators have created a plan to provide basic child sexual abuse prevention lessons for students. We have prepared a brief video that outlines plans for elementary, middle and high school levels. You will find more detailed information on HCS’s plan to implement Erin’s Law, including the option for your child to opt out of these lessons if you so choose. This information is also available in Spanish. Disclaimer: If you need alternate accommodations in accessing the video content, please contact Marley Stephens at firstname.lastname@example.org.
