Warrior News

April at NCA

Welcome to April!

This month, we have the privilege of celebrating Easter, and we reflect upon the death, burial and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:3-5, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time."

FACTS App Errors

Some families have reported errors or discrepancies in the FACTS Family Portal when accessing the FACTS app on a phone or handheld device. After consulting directly with FACTS, the following suggestions are recommended when encountering a problem with the FACTS mobile app: 1) clear the cache on the device; 2) log out, then log back in; 3) uninstall the app, then install it again; 4) power off your device, then power it back on; 5) if none of these items resolves the problem, please contact Kim in the office to create a help request.

Reading Month

Reading Month was a great success! The students read an incredible amount of minutes. The class who read the most in lower and upper elementary will have a party sometime after spring break. Thanks to all you parents who helped with the book fair. We sold many books and the school will share in the profits. Reading month is so much fun, I hope the students continue their love of reading throughout the summer.

Dress as a book character day!

Milk and Cookies

Elementary students enjoyed their first Cookies and Milk reading night! Pastor Jamie kicked off the night by reading the students his favorite story, then Mrs. Stotler and Mrs. Davenport shared some reading strategies, and students enjoyed cookies and milk while they practiced those reading strategies with their parents. The night ended with some of our very own NCA and Brightmoor authors sharing about their published books which families had a chance to purchase at the end of the night.
