People don’t care what you know until they know that you care.
Most of these quotes emphasize being kind, being collaborative (unless you are trying to escape from a fire! Then you really want someone who knows what he is doing to take charge in leading you out!) A leader is not a wimp - but can be firm – even bossy – when he needs to be.

Speaking of leadership, the Library Media Advisory Council is a great way to have a voice in the policies that effect you! This group was created to give you all the opportunity to share your experiences and expertise with our office. For example, the changes in professional development this year were developed in this group. We have so much more to do and we need your help!
