Learning Goal: I can use the substitution method to find the coordinate pair that satisfies a 2 by 2 system of equations and verify my solution is correct.
Friday, our probe showed that 25% of students have mastered this concept. Today you will work on identifying specific areas in this process that you need to improve upon in order to be successful.
Warm Up: Differentiated Do Now
Activator: Students will mark off the areas on micro-scale in order to identify which individualized activity you will be working on.
Table Stations:
Evaluating for a specific variable
Substitution with an expression
Checking Solutions
IXL with iPad
You will be monitoring your understanding of solving systems of equations with substitution throughout the period using the scale.
Reflection/Summary:
Revisit the scale. Did you go up, down? What did you improve on?
