SHOUT OUTS from the ENERGY BUS STOP, below...
- Lindsey Parker for her creative, authentic lesson plans that require students to think deeply and promote lifelong lessons on being your best self.
- Carrie C for going above and beyond with two of my students. She pushes the kids to be their best every single day. She also takes time to listen and get to the root of problems, which allows her to be proactive as opposed to reactive.
- Working with students while they are at home for snow days! How cool that Jenny Johnson used schoology in such an awesome way and was able to connect with her students!
- Our amazing Custodial Crew who get to work EACH.AND.EVERY time...rain, sleet, ice, or snow!!! Your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed!

*NEE Teacher Survey Information: See email from Kayla - Complete by March 13th
*Read Across America - From Annie: The LSHS book club has a tradition of bringing a few high school students to read to our feeder elementary schools on Read Across America day. We'd love to visit on Monday March 4th if there is interest from elementary teachers. We would likely have time to visit 2-4 schools from approximately 9:00-11:30. We will have 10-12 students, and they will read for about 15-20 minutes per classroom. I've created a form to help us stay organized. Our students have really enjoyed it in the past.
*Last Day of School Updated: Due to the school cancellations due to inclement weather, the last day of school is Thursday, May 30, 2019. It will be an early release day.
*$2000 Innovation Grant: The Kansas City Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments is proud to support efforts in education innovation by funding the work of teachers, administrators and schools to bring new ideas and opportunities to learners in our area. Four $2,000 Innovation in Learning Environments Grants will be awarded annually. Innovation In Learning Environments Grant Information; Grant Application
