Deep in the Heart of Texas!
This week we continue learning about Texas and historic figures. We created a covered wagon to help the students understand how the settlers arrived in our great state. We will also learn about the role Jose Navarro played in helping Stephen F. Austin encourage families to settle in the Texas frontier. The students will also create an authentically dressed cowboy and we will discuss the importance of each piece along with learning about the tools and jobs he did. On Friday we will celebrate with our Texas Day Centers and Hoedown. Your children are encourage to dress in their own cowboy clothes.
Our Weekly Homework
Thank you so much for helping your children complete their letter sound and creative writing homework. I am very impressed with the quality of their work and how much it has helped them in class. They have become more successful and responsible students due to your efforts.
Also, thank you for helping them complete and turn in their Sunshine Math worksheets. I have almost 100% participation. The students are excited about their accomplishments and of course, receiving prizes. Keep up the good work!
