MES Best Practices
Number Sense Routines At Mammoth Elementary School, we incorporate number sense routines daily in our math instruction. What exactly is number sense and how can you support it at home? Click here for a great article from Scholastic called Demystifying Math: What is Number Sense? | Daily 5 & CAFE "Daily 5 is a literacy framework that instills behaviors of independence, creates a classroom of highly engaged readers, writers, and learners, and provides teachers with the time and structure to meet diverse student needs. Because it holds no curricular content, it can be used to meet any school, district, state, or national standards." | PAWS Practice Respect & Responsibility Accept Others Work to Succeed Show Kindness Students had an assembly reviewing behavior expectations at school last Monday afternoon. We have just two weeks left of our amazing ski and snowboard program. Thank you so much to all families, students and staff who work hard to make this program happen. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to MES PTO and Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation for their monetary support. Ms. Hund, Ms. Jefferson and Ms. Quirsfeld have done an amazing job coordinating this year as well!
