Digital Learning Day

All students will learn from home on Wednesday, October 20th.

Students should log onto eCLASS and visit each teacher's eCLASS pages for assignments.

Meals will be delivered along all bus routes countywide. Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. Like meals served at school, these delivered meals are provided at no cost under a federal waiver.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Conferences are held the week of October 18-22. Translators are available only on Wednesday, October 20 and Thursday, October 21. Please use the following link to sign up for a conference time with your child's teacher.

In the Special Requests box, make sure to include if you would like a Digital conference or an In-person conference and if you need a translator. Translators are not guaranteed.

Remember, all students will be learning from home on October 20 and students will be dismissed from school at 12:20 pm on October 21. We cannot accept transportation requests over the phone, so please make sure you have enough time to get your child off the bus before your scheduled conference time.

AKS at Home

You are an important partner with your child’s teacher, whether your child is learning at home or at school. To help you support your child’s learning, GCPS is launching a new initiative called AKS at Home. With this project, families will learn ways to help their child practice skills they are learning in class as part of the district’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum.

School Nutrition Program

While breakfast and lunch will be provided at no charge for all GCPS in-person and digital students this school year, it still pays to complete the Free and Reduced-price Meal Application. Confirmed eligibility establishes a number of benefits for individual students such as free or discounted college-admissions tests, AP exams, and college applications; scholarship opportunities; and no- and low-cost access to technology and internet plans. In addition, the percentages of qualifying students at a school are used as a measure to secure additional federal funding (Title I) to support students and their education, promote family engagement, and provide additional technology and internet access. Title I funds pay for additional teachers, Parent Centers, additional learning opportunities for students, extra resources, added technology, and more.
