Bearcat Brief

April 5, 2019

Notes from Niki

The keynote speakers and break out sessions were great at the principals' conference this week. There is a little bit of a double-edged sword affect from any PD: (1)reaffirming that we are doing great work and making good choices, but (2) reminding that we still have a lot of work to do. The video below was maybe one of my favorite learning moments- the greatest joys are on the other side of maximum fear. When is the last time you have challenged yourself enough to make you afraid?

Professional Reading/ Resources:

I think Josh and Katie showed me this site after one of their content-level meetings last year, but I found it again in a link from one of my professional associations and it made me think about providing evidence. What a powerful bell ringer to have kids make a conclusion or inference based on a daily graph and back it up with evidence.
