People Should Not Over Exaggerate

Some Of Our Main Characters

Juliet is speaking to Friar Laurence

"O, bid me leap, rather then marry Paris,

From off battlements of yonder tower,

Or walk in thievish ways,

Or bid me lurk where serpents are,

Chain me with roaring bears."

Juliet is over exaggerating because she says

she would rather die than marry Paris.

Juliet is over exaggerating because she is saying that she would rather die than marry the Count Paris because she now knows what love feels like and she has none for Paris.

Romeo has a man to man talk

" Did my heart love till now?

Forswear it, sight!

For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."

Romeo judges his love by how beautiful the girl is, and he thinks he is in love with Juliet because she is so beautiful. It is an over exaggeration for himself to think he is in love with Juliet just because of her beauty.

Juliet acts crazy

"Deny thy father and refuse thy name!

Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,..."

Juliet is over exaggerating because she says she is in love with Romeo even though she just met him.

Juliet threatens the Friar

" Twist my extremes and me this bloody knife,

Shall play the umpire..."
